Apparently they don’t have any fresh softs left. Makes a bit of sense but it’s hard to agree with after last weekend.

Even without fresh softs, a used pair would probably make more sense when you have Vettel sandwiched between your two drivers along with Red Bull on softs behind you.

Given that his set of qualifying softs lasted till lap 25 while pushing hard, I’m guessing the harder medium tyre should last until the end of the race given that there have been a lot of laps under the safety cars.

Definitely a gamble, though. I just want Bottas to have a bit of luck and grab the win, but it looked like VET had put in a purple 2nd sector before the safety car came out.
